Customer Rating: Summary: THE MOVIE THAT KILLED THREE CAREERS Comment: Ah yes, the movie that killed three careers. Wesley Snipes was a respected action man until he put on a dress in this movie. Same with Swayze. Leguizamo is at least a comic, but when was the last time you saw him in anything either. Now I know Swayze is sick, so I'm not bashing him. Just being honest. If you want to maintain your reputation as a leading man DO NOT put on a dress. Swayze himself was quoted as feeling very bitter over the reaction to this movie. "I don't care what people think of me anymore", he once angrily declared. Wearing a dress will do that to you. Men... be MEN. Draw the line at certain things. Arnold put his film career in a tailspin when he got pregnant in a movie!!! Before long, he experienced his own End of Days, and switched into politics. I can't think of more than two male actors who can wear a dress and still maintain some "cool" about them. Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence. Outside of those two actors, you're a fool to wear a dress on the bigsceen. Imagine Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Harrison Ford, Al Pacino, John Travolta, etc. wearing dresses!!! Maybe the three actors in this movie would be amoung those names if they had not made this turkey of a movie, and forever ruined their images as leading men.
Customer Rating: Summary: Omg! Hilarious!! Comment: To Wong Foo.. is a classic!
This is a movie that you can watch over and over and never get tired of it. It teaches you to accept yourself, the three actors are splendiferous, and its funny at the same time!
I would reccommend this movie for everyone...its just great (just look at the the reviews!!)
Customer Rating: Summary: Disappointed with Packaging for Mail Comment: I wasn't as happy this time with Movie Mars as I have been in past purchases. The movie arrived later than anticipated and the DVD box was either tampered with or broken during shipping. As a collector I feel the box is important and when it is damaged it doesn't display well. Other than that I have had many positive purchasing experiences with Movie Mars, and I do plan to continue purchasing from them.
Customer Rating: Summary: To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar Comment: This was a surprisingly good movie. Sweet, a good message and you just have to see Wesley Snipes, Patrick Swayze & John Leguizamo in drag.
Customer Rating: Summary: Patrick Swayze Comment: The first time I saw this movie, I totally fell in love with it. Patrick Swayze makes such a beautiful woman. Well, why not, he is such a handsome man!!! I love this movie so much that I purchased 2 of them so that my daughter could have one for her collection. She had never seen it so we watched it together while she was home for spring break from college and she loved it too. She said she was going to make sure to get her whole sorority to watch it too.

This clunky road movie about three drag queens (Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes, and John Leguziamo) who get stranded in a sleepy Nebraska town on their way to a beauty contest, is too uplifting for its own good. Released during drag's mid-'90s heyday when RuPaul and the Wigstock documentary were all the rage, To Wong Foo aimed straight for the mainstream with its inoffensive camp and "can't we all get along" moralism. While gay-activist groups howled about straights getting the lead roles in To Wong Foo, in the end the filmmakers really couldn't have done better than this trio of actors. John Leguziamo provides real sass and bite as a Latino (or should we saw Latina?) drag queen, and Wesley Snipes is surprisingly fierce as the imposing leader of the pack. Saddled with a cloying Southern accent and off-kilter wig, Patrick Swayze barely holds his own with his costars, though. To Wong Foo is best viewed as a cultural artifact of a time when it seemed as though drag could rule all tomorrow's parties. --Ethan Brown
