Summary: What can I say...
Comment: What can I say... other then that it is 2008, I am in my mid 20's and I still love everything about Sailor Moon. If you enjoyed watching Sailor Moon in the mornings... early 90's, then you will enjoy all the Edited VHS videos.

Summary: Gotta' Love the Bathing Suit!
Comment: When I was on vacation over the summer, I stumbled apon a store and saw in a video rack "Evil Eyes". As big a Sailor Moon fan I was, I baught it (plus it was CHEAP!- in price!). When I got back, I watched it, and it was very enjoyable. Good for a laugh, that's for sure. Sure it doesn't have ground breaking episodes like "Day Of Destiny" (which I though sucked)or "Finnal Battle" (oops, that's in R). But these episodes are enjoyable, like in the first episode, "Cruise Blues", when Raye gets two tickets on a cruise and invites Amy to go with her instead of Serena. I love how when Serena sneaks on the boat and falls in love with Neflite! Oh brother!
Anyhoo, then in the second one, "Shutter Bugged", Serena tries out for modeling, when she finds out it is another one of the Negaverse's evil plans to get energy. Love the bathing suit she wears with all the yellow bows! SOOOOO funny!
Well, like I said before, this VHS doen't have the greatest episodes, noe the greatest cover-_- but it does have good episodes and is a good break from the violent episodes. After a while, you can get sick of the soliders dying and being tortured, though those episodes are better.

Hope this helped, and buy this VHS anyway. It's cheap and it helps support Sailor Moon in the US!

Summary: Evil Eyes?? No!!
Comment: I've been a Sailor Moon fan for a few years now, as with me being an anime fan for a few years now, and Evil Eyes was really impressive! I certainly enjoyed Nephrite (Neflyte as he is known here in North America). For an anime character, he's cute!! Thumbs up to Bishujo Senshi Sailor Moon!!

Summary: not exactly ground-breaking episodes
Comment: WHO does the covers for these tapes? I could draw better than most of these. The cover shows Sailor Mars, with Wiseman/Doom Phantom in the background. What in the WORLD is Wiseman doing on the cover of 2 episodes taken from the first season? Sheesh. Anyway, if you are looking for episodes with tongue-biting action, shocking revelations about the past in the Silver Millenium, new characters (youma don't count) or misty-eye moments... You definately have the wrong tape. Don't get me wrong, these are good episodes, but they are just the average episodes that go in between the above described kind of episodes. Just your regular bad guys show up and the senshi kick their "negabutts". My personal recommendation for the best Sailor Moon home video to get would have to be "Secret Identities" I adore those two episodes...

Editorial Reviews:

Appearing as an ordinary Japanese schoolgirl, this interplanetary Nancy Drew and her sleuthing galfriends save the day in both 20-minute episodes of the WB television series. In "Cruise Blues," Serena (earthly alter ego of Sailor Moon) disguises herself as a photographer to crash a sweethearts' cruise attended stag by two other sailor scouts and a host of lovebirds. When evil soldiers from the Negaverse sap the "love energy" from the couples, only the dateless trio is left standing to fight for the forces of good. The low-life Neflite takes possession of a photographer in "Shutter Bugged," and zaps supermodel wannabes with his camera. In a jiffy, model-hopeful Serena changes from her swimsuit to her go-go-booted, mini-skirted Sailor Moon outfit and vanquishes the villains. Both episodes are followed by "Sailor Says," a politically correct message for girls delivered à la Jerry Springer: "Don't settle for a guy who doesn't treat you right" and "Beauty is on the inside." Girls 6 and up will watch for the fantasy and the action, but probably not for life lessons. --Kimberly Heinrichs
