Customer Rating: Summary: Why buy the 2nd Best? Comment: I agree, SCRIPT is the better buy. Creative Screenwriting (CS) paints every review/interview with the same glowing brush (no matter how bad the film is) whereas SCRIPT really does offer an insider view into the process. Script also offers Television section in each of its issues where CS only provides the occasional sub-feature. And as a CS subscriber I can tell you that the magazine always arrives late to my door - sometimes up to two weeks after it can be found on the shelves.
Customer Rating: Summary: Covers so much of nothing Comment: I subscribed to this magazine for quite a few years before deciding that much of its content was, well, weak. I began to compare this with other similar magazines like, SCRIPT. I think that if you are a writer in LA or outside the system, SCRIPT is a better buy. Creative Screenwriting tries to break down a scene and attempts to cover big budget movies and analysis but just falls flat. I recommend they re-tool the writing staff and also bring back some of the core talent that made the magazine a few years ago. If you are going to spend your hard earned cash, spend it on, SCRIPT.
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent tool Comment: this is an excellent wrap of style, technique, sales and back story. Lots of info, lots of history and ideas about success. A practical tool, professionally done.

Creative Screenwriting Magazine interviews filmmakers, the writers and directors, to reveal what went into the creative processes of major motion pictures, art films and TV series. It is a wonderful, easy read for film and TV fans.
