Customer Rating: Summary: Simply the best Comment: Here is what was needed: simple, robust tool to get the job done. This nails it. Not much else is needed. I went through 20 batteries this week, charged them all fully and then ran it through this tool. two were dead, so i disposed of them. It works!
Customer Rating: Summary: No guesswork Comment: I have used this handy tool for better than two years and it still keeps working. I have tested many sizes with accuracy. I use it to test my specialized AA camera batteries also and it has never failed me. It is small enough to fit into your pocket or camera bag. You can't go wrong purchasing this.
Customer Rating: Summary: Simple, easy to use, and actually effective Comment: Judging from the pictures, this device looked extremely "old-school", but surprisingly it worked well. I think it's most useful to test a few batteries here and there, as it can get time-consuming if you have a bag of 100 or so. Overall, I'd recommend this because it's inexpensive and useful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for the price Comment: I looked at a few battery testers before buying this one based on the reviews on Amazon. This is a great battery tester for the price, except for one minor flaw. 3/4 of the dial is the Red ("Replace") zone, and 1/4 of the dial to the right is the Green ("Good") zone. Which means that it really doesn't distinguish too well between batteries that are fully charged and those that are about to run out of juice. I wish the display was a little more granular. But, all in all, great for the price.
Customer Rating: Summary: It works! Comment: This is a pretty handy little tester. The only problem I've had with it is that the opening (swinging the arm up) is meant to be done one handed, with the thumb. If you try that you end up shooting it off into the next room. Best to just pop it open with the hand you're holding the battery in and slip the battery in, letting it close automatically.
Other than that it's great. Even the kids use it.
