Comment: This product came recommended by some friends so I knew it would be pretty good. It is awesome! I love it! It heats up very quickly. Be careful because it does get very very hot. Use product to protect your hair. The cord is pretty long; good for moving around, bad if children or pets are nearby. Just use common sense! Definately worth the money!!!

Most of the reviews I read before purchasing were very positive and I am now able to add my own positive review. It heats up fast to perfect temp and is zssimple to use and effective.

Comment: This is a good product, my son and wife are happy with it. Three cautions:
(1) It gets very hot, so don't put the hot iron on any combustible, plastic, finished wood, or laminated surface.
(2) Be aware that the manufacturer may not honor the warranty if it is not purchased from an authorized reseller. You can go to CHI's website to get a list of authorized resellers.
(3) If you are willing to ignore (2), note that you can get the iron from reputable but not authorized sources for as low as $71. This is the best option in my opinion, the MSRP is about $180. So, even if you "ride bareback" without a warranty, it would take two catastrophic failures within one year before the full price+warranty is the better economic deal. Of course, this does not account for the hassle if the product should fail. However, it is a good product and I am not overly concerned about the warranty.

The CHI can be considered one of the most versatile Hairstyling Irons on the market today.
The CHI's ergonomic design allows the user to flip hair up or curl it under with a twist of the wrist. The CHI is ideal for straightening and smoothing the hair while the ceramic plates seal in natural moisture. It's great to use prior to a Dry Haircut. The ceramic coated paddles help prevent scorching hair color and helps reduce styling product build-up.
Featuring an extra long swivel cord to prevent tangling, the CHI has a concealed on-off switch inside the handle to prevent accidentally turning the unit off when in use. The heat paddles are recessed from the edges to prevent skin burns. Will automatically heat up in less than 10 seconds. Temperature is preset at 150-180 degrees Celsius(302-356 degrees Fahrenheit)
