Customer Rating: Summary: Very Effective, A Few Drawbacks Comment: I bike commute in San Francisco downtown traffic two days a week. Our toddler is on the back in a Chariot CX2. With this precious cargo on board, I want to be seen and HEARD. So with that introduction here are the pros & cons.
PROS: It's loud, get's the attention of drivers and pedestrians (even iPod wearing drones). The volume is adjustable via a valve that pinches the air hose to varying degrees. The thumb trigger is within easy reach. Overall the horn is very effective (and kinda fun).
CONS: The horn is recharged via a standard Schrader valve. The valve is underneath the thumb trigger. You tip up the trigger to attach a pump to the valve. I think this was bench tested by someone in a lab with a nice skinny inflator attached to an air compressor. It is a giant pain to attach a regular bike pump to the valve. I've tried both an upright pump and a mini frame pump. Both of the pumps have a head on them with about a 1" diameter. It is almost impossible to mash the pump in next to the thumb trigger to refill the air reservoir. Also, the volume control valve, thumb trigger, and mounting clamp are all cheap plastic. They don't seem likely to be very durable.
Happy honking!
Customer Rating: Summary: It's Great ! Comment: This horn is so much better than my little ice cream sounding bell, people just don't think they need to look when they here that dum thing.
I always try that first just to be nice and if they don't react to that I just give them a short blast of this little baby !!!! And boy do they look around when they here that. Everyone who has a bike these days needs one just to be safe from all those careless souls with a phone glued to thier ear yapping away.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great horn, let down by low quality handlebar clip Comment: The horn is as good as most of the reviews point out - loud, simple to use etc. The one negative for me is that the clip to hold it on the handlebars is pretty cheap and nasty, and too small to use on my chunky mountain bike handlebars. I'd rather pay a few dollars more and get a nice flexible velcro & soft rubber strap that fits on & off quickly onto any tube size, as I got with my (admittedly expensive) Cateye lights (which are great btw).
Customer Rating: Summary: 'Real Attention Getter' Comment: I put this on a FWD semi recumbent CruzBike on which I sit a little lower than a regular upright road or safety bike although higher than a typical recumbent. So when I'm on the road or in traffic I plan to be heard if not seen at first. I'm still adapting to the riding style so have not put it yet to the true test in traffic but all indications of driveway trials and locals looking to see what that noise is indicate the sound travels well & I haven't even turned up the volume around my neighborhood. Installation is straight forward though the connector hose can seem short in some cases (Delta offers an extension kit).I installed mine (air bottle) on the gooseneck area w/the built-in velcro kit & the horn and button on the bar right next to the L.grip at the thumb ready. Air supply is easily replenished w/ any avg pump and it holds well & doesn't run out quickly with avg use. At almost no weight, I like this thing,& while it is mostly plastic I feel with care & non-abuse it should hold up, even in the Arizona sun if not left out to much. I feel it's a worthy addition to any bike & now that I've seen & heard it, I'll probably always keep one on any bike I have. A couple short blasts is all it takes cuz it's loud man. Startling- warning on box indicates.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bike Air Horn Comment: Delta makes a great product, good quality materials, and the sound, three settings and can really scare the dogs. This Get's the attention of the wayward driver who is not paying attention or is otherwise distracted. I would recommend this item.

Super loud, Volume control switch. The reservoir recharges with any schraeder valve compatible pump and fits in a standard water bottle cage.
