This may explain the wide range of customer experience with regard to these batteries. Lithium ion batteries begin to lose their ability to hold a charge right after they are made, and many will lose functionality two years after manufacture. The battery may be "brand new" and in the original sealed packaging, but if it's been sitting on a shelf for a year or so, it will not perform like a freshly manufactured battery. Buyers should realize that at these low prices, they are taking a chance. They may luck out, and get a battery that works well at a bargain price, or they may wind up with one that has little or no ability to hold a charge. After reading the reviews here, I decided against buying one of these batteries. To me, it's worth it to spend more, and get a battery I know is fresh and will perform as promised.
