Summary: Definitely a worthwhile replacement.
Comment: After replacing the foil and blade the razor cut much better and was also less irritating. I would definitely recommend replacing this part. I wish it lasted longer though.

Summary: Like a new razor
Comment: My shaves were not close after 12 months usage of my new razor. Braun recommends replacing the foil and cutting block after 18 months but I have a very tough beard so I decided to replace those items early. The razor is like new again.

Comment: If you have the face of a baby or a little girl, this may last you 18 months, but real men with actual facial hair will find that it will last 6 months, tops. The product works well when it's new, but performance drops off noticeably after a couple of months.
I bought my Braun razor because I was spending too much money on decent blades. But with the high price of the razor, the Clean & Charge solution that needs constant replacement, and this foil and cutter block that needs changing twice a year, I think the razor manufacturers have us by the balls and they know it.
