Customer Rating: Summary: Rain,Rain {DON'T} Go Away! Comment: Wow! I sure was impressed by this rainstick! Not only was it nice-looking,but the sound was great!{crisp, and clear}!It truly sounded just like falling rain. This is quite an impressive item, and it is so reasonably priced! I liked this so much,I plan to order the 20" one, so I can go back and forth between the two of them....one for at home, and one to tote along with me, if need be.The nice thing about this particular rainstick is that it will be so portable for you!It fits easily into a knapsack, tote,or basket-type purse. Very cool. Also, the service was very prompt....the item arrived days ahead of its due date. ENJOY!!!!!

Rain Sticks have been used for centuries and traditionally they were used to indicate to the Gods that rain was needed in the dry desert area. These particular Rainsticks are made from cactus plants that have died a natural death in the deserts of Chile. The insides are carved out and Obsidian pebbles are inserted to make the rain stick sound.
Decorative woven fabric is wrapped around one end using one of the traditional colors The color of the fabric will vary with each Rainstick. In modern time, Rain Sticks are used for Cultural and Historical decoration as well as musical instruments due to the running sound of the pebbles within the stick.
