Customer Rating: Summary: Battery Life Stinks Comment: This is my 3rd sport kit in 9 months. The battery life of the sensor does not last as long as advertised. It would be nice if there was an aftermarket brand that could be used with the ipod vs the Nike one that does not last too long. The only reason why I keep buying this sport kit is because it's the only one that works with the ipod.
Customer Rating: Summary: love it! Comment: I love the freedom of the sensor. It allows me to run without first planning out a route when I want to go a specific distance or time, it tracks all the data i want (date, distance, average pace, total time), and yet adds no weight to my gear. I did have to cut a hole in the nano armband I already had to accommodate the sensor.
Customer Rating: Summary: Its so money Comment: This is so money...it actually keeps me motivated to want to go out and run. Probably the most innovative feature to hit the running market since the walkman.
Customer Rating: Summary: Useless information Comment: I have had nothing but trouble getting the nikeplus system to accurately record my pace since getting it 3 weeks ago. I initially had it under my laces (cannot wear Nike shoes!). Thought this was problem. No dice. Same issue with lacelid adaptor. Ready to throw whole system out. Fact that it reads 8:06 min/mile then 18:56 min/mile at exact same pace bizarre! I have calibrated the system twice and even linked with sensor twice. Any recommendations?
Customer Rating: Summary: HIGHLY MOTIVATIONAL Comment: Regardless of any negative reviews this product functions flawlessly for me. It is so motivational to be able to set goals and work to see them achieved. I have used Nike+ with and without calibrating the sensor. I am 6 foot tall and I would say an average stride length. There was virtually no difference between calibrated and not. I verified distances with my car odometer to verify this observation. It is easy to use, easy to set up and works quite well with various shoe pouch products available so you don't really need to buy nike shoes to use it effectively. I've lost over 20 lbs. already. Buy it!!
