Summary: For fans of Six Feet Under
Comment: For anyone who loved the HBO series Six Feet Under you will surely love Dexter as well. I have found myself addicted to this show. Michael C. Hall is an amazing actor and he portrays the problem ridden Dexter better than anyone else could have. This is a wonderful show and I look forward to the ongoing seasons!

Summary: I'm Officially A Fan
Comment: I have never watched a series this dark, complex and yet a little humorous at the same. It is brilliant to be able to dive into the inner psyche of a serial killer, to try and understand even if but a little, what goes through their cold and twisted minds. Michael C. Hall plays the character to perfection and it is mind boggling how the writers are able to deliver on each and every episode. I had to pace myself otherwise I would have watched the whole season in one day! I'm now waiting on the delivery of season2.

Summary: You'll like it, but it may be too disturbing to watch
Comment: I've showed the first episode of this series to a lot of people. Their opinions fall into two distinct categories.
Either they are fascinated and want to see more, or they are too disturbed to watch more. There are those who decline to watch further just on the principle that they object to the premise. Some say that they just can't find anything in Dexter to relate to. But nobody has ever suggested that the episodes aren't brilliant.
If someone had tried to explain the premise to me I wouldn't have been interested. Serial killers, bleh. But Dexter is different. It paints a picture of a man who was dealt a terrible hand early on in life, but who struggles to do the right thing, without the tools to determine what the "right thing" is other than what was imparted to him by his foster father (now deceased), who is a fascinating character in his own right.
Dexter has no social conscience and no emotional clues to guide him through the events of his existance, nothing but a firm faith in the principles of the man who raised him. When the very foundations of his faith in Harry are shaken, the choice that he is forced to make create one of the most hauntingly memorable scenes that I have ever seen in a TV series.

Comment: just rent or buy the darn show . see what distinguishes great television from most television . pure and simple , it's a keeper and hilarious . i hope there are people like DEXTER out there ?

Comment: If you love Dexter...this is a must have! If you never saw Dexter before..now is your chance! If you like forensics, twist and turns in the plot lines that are fresh and new, the best humor and drama, great acting and characters you can sink your teeth into...Then buy this and see where it all began for Dexter. Then buy the Season Two and see where it is going to. A wonderfully written show, that is very well done all the way around. Michael C. Hall is outstanding and has been nominated for an Emmy for Best Actor in a Drama! And he deserves this award! It's that good! . You will love to not hate Dexter and find out why as each episode, his reason for being who he has become unravels in the story of Dexter. I dare you not to love the show! I thought when this show came out I would not be interested in the story line as presented. Boy, was I wrong! I am so glad I watched one show and I was hooked! I missed the beginning and was so glad to put it all together when these DVD's came out! Buy it! You won't be sorry. Watch the new season and when you are hooked as I was, then buy Season One and Seaon Two find out how it all began. It is a winner! A real Fan of Dexter's!!!!!!!
