Summary: PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-FZ18K THREAD SIZE OF THE LENS HOOD ADAPTER
Comment: Hi there everyone! This is not a review but a question to you folks who already own the FZ-18. I would like to ask if someone knows what the thread size is of the lens hood adapter that came with the camera. I have an FZ-7k, planning to upgrade to the FZ-18k. The lens hood adapter of the FZ-7k is threaded for 52mm where you can attach a filter or any third-party lens that is threaded for 52mm. I would like to know from owners the thread size of the FZ-18's lens hood adapter. Thank you all!

Comment: I love this camera.... I did quite a bit of research into these cameras before I choose this model. I am so glad I did. This camera takes great pictures, is lightening fast and the zoom is fantastic. I took this camera to Hawaii and I took over 400 Pictures and even some videos at 30 f/s. The camera starts up very fast with almost no lag between pushing the button and taking the picture. The option to take 3 pictures at a time is great. I captured a dolphin jumping out of the water with all three consecutive shots. There was a guy standing right next to me with a diffeent camera and every time he tried to take a picture of a dolphin it was gone by the time his camera snapped the shot. The camera comes with a sun shield for the lens and it works perfect at blocking out glare from the sun, sky and water. Like I said this is a GREAT CAMERA!

Summary: Lumix DMC-FZ18K is a winner
Comment: I have had my Lumix DMC-FZ18K for two weeks now. I received my camera just in time for a local festival that my dauhter was in. The town celebrates tuplips and the school dresses in Dutch costumes and dance for a week. Tourist come from all over. I didn't have time to learn how to use the manual features so I mostly used the IA mode. It does a wonderful job of color saturation and clarity. I was also impressed with the lack of shutter lag, very quick. This is by far the nicest camera I have owned. I used the sports action for when they were dancing and I got some amazeing pictures. Be careful with using the sun sheild, don't use it on wide angles. I have pictures with the sheild in the corners of my the pictures.I also used the video to caputre some of the dancing.The videos are good but not super, but I got the camera for still pictures and the video is a bouns. I played very qucikly around with the macro and I am again amazed with the quailty of the photos. When I put them on my computer and enlarge them I find very little noise. I have a lot to learn about this camera as there are many features that I just need to sit down and learn but all in all for this kind of a camera I am very happpy with it. The only negetive thing I can say is that it feels plasticy and kind of cheap, but on the other hand it is light and I am a female with samll hands. I am going to try to add some photos to the site.

Comment: It is a really good cam. I wanted one cam for taking pictures of animals and flowers. It works perfect. The autofocus is perfect and fast. The leica lens is perfect. Very nice color. Very light for traveling.
