Comment: I received this a gift for a "throw in my purse" camera and for the video option. The video was shaky, the images grainy and I am not at all pleased that the videos are in MOV format. I don't want to purchase or download another program just to be able to edit my movies, I have Window Vista, not an Apple. The software that came with it didn't provide the video support. Back to the store it goes!

Comment: Kodak EasyShare Z1285 12.1MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom
While it would seem like a great deal for a 12 MP camera, the quality of the images are not great at all. I have a DSLR that is a 6 MP and get far more detail there. The file size of the images at 12 MP are half the size of my DSLR. I wanted something for my wife to be able to throw in her purse, but was not pleased at all with the quality. Lots of noise in the images. As well the video does not have image stabilization so if you shoot a video holding it, you get sick trying to watch it afterwards.
Very disappointed, return to the store (did not buy from Amazon) and now trying out a Sony, looks good so far and it is only a 7 MP camera.

Comment: This was my third EasyShare camera and was completely unsatisfied. Took great pictures during the day, sharp and clear. Night time and low light pictures were horrible especially when zooming. Returned it ann went with Canon, less MP and zoom but takes awesome pictures at anytime of the day...

Comment: I love Kodak. I believe that they take amazing pictures. I researched this camera for a long time and I'm very excited that I bought it. For $190, you can't beat it. Perfect pictures. The video is very good, but not great. It is a little hard to edit the mp4's because of the codec it uses. But, it still is the best video I've ever seen from a point and shoot. I have 2 kids under 3 and this camera has been a must have for that. Get it, you won't regret it.
