Customer Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT ! Comment: I'm very happy with this video, it was delivered in great shape and within the shipping time alotted. Excellent!
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful Celtic singing. Comment: I saw this group on PBS and just had to have my own DVD. My wife and I became instant fans. This show is so well done and the music is delightful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Music that moves the spirit Comment: If you are a lover of Celtic music, you will certainly be entertained over and over as you listen to these talented guys. However, there is a mix of pop music intermingled within this concert. It's amazing how each song fits the personality of each of these men. I say men lightly as one of them is just a boy who has the voice of an angel. I watch this concert over and over, yet never tire of it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful, Entrancing! Comment: We have seldom seen a performance that entranced us so! It hooked our attention and our hearts. Not only is the music wonderful, the singers come across as real people -- authentic young men, singing their hearts out and obviously enjoying their success at thrilling the live audience.
This DVD contains a handful of numbers that were not included in the Celtic Thunder show we saw on PBS.
Customer Rating: Summary: Celtic Thunder: The Show Comment: Another British invasion? "Celtic Thunder" is a group of 5 men from Ireland and Scotland, whose voices are truly amazing. Each has a strong and distinctive solo voice, but also blend well when they sing together. The music isn't all Celtic in nature - "Desperado" "That's a Woman" and "Puppy Love" are among those that aren't. The show is about 2 hours, and when they're finished, you'll find yourself wanting more! They are engaging performers who immediately connect with their audience. It would be difficult to choose a favorite - each having a unique style. This is not a "boy band." It is a DVD you'll watch again and again! My only disappointment is that the CD only has about half the songs from the DVD. I wish they had made it a double CD set. I am hoping they will make another recording soon. If you like Celtic music at all ... even if only on St. Patrick's Day, this is a DVD you will enjoy!

For Celtic Thunder, Sharon Browne has teamed up with Grammy-nominated Irish songwriting and composing veteran Phil Coulter to produce a show that includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Coulter, who has written hits for Elvis Presley ("My Boy") and the Bay City Rollers, and performed with Van Morrison, Tom Jones, and the Rolling Stones. The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.
