Comment: I've had roomba for a few years now. Lately it would run for a few minutes and then stopped with the red light flashing. After I replaced the battery, it fixed the problem. Now it can run for about 1.5 hours and it does a good job.

Comment: We got Roomba as a gift 1 1/2 year ago. We used it occasionally, and it worked fine, so we were very surprised when the battery died, shortly after 1 year. Unfortunately, the warranty had expired by then. The company customer service representative told us that we were not using battery properly. WOW! I assume that our relatives - 2 families - also didn't know how to use the battery, since they had exactly the same problem, even before 1 year. It looks like the company found an easy way of making an additional profit. I don't believe they cannot fix the problem - but obviously, it would take more efforts then just to trick customers into paying steep price for the batteries ($60-$70 apiece) all the time.

Comment: iRobot 4905 Battery
Ordered a replacement battery for our Roomba robotic floor cleaner and was advised, by the manufacturer, that they are "on back order." Did a little surfin and low-and-behold, I found a vendor offering the same battery FOR LESS $$$. Placed the order and the battery arrived very promptly. Boy, I'm glad the manufacturer was out of stock on this item.
